15 days prior

7 days prior

Avoid blood thinning over-the-counter medications such as Aspirin, Motrin, Ibuprofen and Aleve

2 days prior

 Avoid topical products, such as Retinol, Retinoids, Glycolic Acid and any “anti-aging” products

Avoid waxing, bleching, tweezing or using hair removal creams on the injection area

Start taking Arnica tablets in order to minimize the possibility of bruising (optional)

1 day prior 

Don’t drink alcoholic beverages

What you should do during dermal fillers

Arrive at the clinic with a clean, washed face and without make-up (Face Procedures)

Ensure a proper level of personal hygiene (Body Procedures)

What you should do after dermal fillers

1 hour after

Apply an ice pack and Arnica topically

Take acetaminophen to reduce pain (if necessary)

Avoid itching, massaging or picking around the injection area

6 to 10 hours after

24 hours after:

3 days after: 

Keep the taping without making it wet (applicable for major areas, such as buttocks)

4 to 7 days after (body procedures):

Avoid intense heat in the treated area, such as sunbathing, tanning, saunas, hot tubs or hot wax

Avoid showers and extreme pressure in the injected area

Avoid strenuous activities and exercising

Massage the injected area for 5 minutes, 5 times a day

15 days after:

Avoid any dental or alternative aesthetic procedures and treatments (Face Procedures)
